Last Fall, shortly after picking up my car, I went driving through the hills one weekend morning with Larry (MR2 owner, now Elise owner too). Larry mounted a camcorder in his car and caught some nice footage of my car; I’ve turned it into a video and posted it to the downloads section of this website (here’s a direct link).

Elise to be sold in US until 2010?
February 10th, 2005From an unnamed source at a southern California Lotus dealer comes word that the Elise body style will remain unchanged until 2010. No word on how they’ll meet the bumper requirements (they currently have a waiver good until 2007), but they’ll be changing the headlights to meet regulations.
Car ballet
February 9th, 2005Check out this amazing video of a Lotus7 performing some incredible driving maneuvers. This is a great illustration of the Seven’s handling prowess – I doubt you could duplicate these feats in most other street cars. (Note that’s probably not an actual Lotus 7, but rather one of the many cars built these days based on that original design).

Car & Driver TV review of the Elise
February 6th, 2005Car & Driver TV reviews the Elise in this video captured from SpikeTV on 2/6/05. For a small (3MB) version, click here. For a higher quality version of the video, visit the downloads section of this website. The review featured some nice video of the Elise, and high praise for its driving ability, but it suffered some criticism of its interior size, accessibility, and high price.
