Aftermarket Elise and Exige parts supplier Sector111 has started publishing an electronic, online-only newsletter/magazine called OneElevenLife. It’s free, and you can download the premier edition here.

As you probably know, the website for Lotus in the US, lotuscars.com, has been undergoing a bunch of changes lately. While most of it is still under construction, I noticed they’ve put up quite a few videos, follow this link to see them.

A beautiful, modified Elise, owned by EliseTalk member “NRG x Elise” (a.k.a. Daniel Song), appears in the most recent copy of the magazine “Modified Luxury & Exotics“. Great pictures, great article. You can read scans of the magazine article here. Amazingly, Daniel is actually selling this beautiful machine (you can find out more here, as well as see more pictures).

The TV show “Import Racers”, on ESPN2, recently featured Sector111. It’s a neat video, worth watching for any Lotus fan. You can find it over at Google Video.

Check this out! Very nicely made, and the commercial aspect of it is politely held aside until the end.

I know I’ve seen these pics on EliseTalk before, but a friend emailed me the link just today and I thought this was worth sharing. It’s a widebody Lotus Exige, and is very nicely done. I had a blast at the Golden Gate Lotus Club’s track day at Laguna Seca today! The weather was perfect, partly cloudy with temperatures around 60. The track was dry as a bone, with excellent coverage of corner workers. I was able to keep pace with my run group (intermediate group), such that after the first couple of laps (I’m do relatively slow warmup laps, I’ve come to realize), I rarely had to pull aside to help someone pass. Unfortunately, one Elise ended up in a wall in a really bad way and is undoubtedly totaled. You can view some pictures from the day over in the Gallery. I’ll have more pictures of my car up soon, I need to get them from the photographers still…

At first, I thought OK, so this is just a catalog of the cars available on the market in the 2005-2006 model year, big deal. Then I read this, and was blown away by just how comprehensive it is. It’s not limited to the mainstream makes, but has all the little one-offs you read about in European car mags. Very cool. Their marketing plow of giving away the previous year’s copy to get you to buy the newest one just might work with me! You can download it here, but hurry, they’re only offering it as a free download until Christmas.
