Most expectant parents struggle coming up with that perfect name for their newborn boy or girl. Well, struggle no longer; for all you car freaks I present this list of car names for babies, all of which rank as fairly common names and hence not all THAT unusual (note, Elise ranks #218 for girl names). That same website also has a list of car names for babies that were popular in the past.

June 1st, 2007Elise roomier than a Hummer?
April 3rd, 2007Here’s something you don’t expect. When talking about the Hummer H3, one reviewer said,
“The interior felt less spacious than a Lotus Elise”
Holy crap. Is that possible? ![]()

Cool new iPod dock
November 20th, 2006
I know this is totally off topic, but I had to let you know about a new iPod dock from Pressure Drop called the JukeDock. It fits any iPod with a dock connector and has an adjustable back stop to fit the different sizes - mine works great with my iPod Mini and my iPod Nano. It has a USB connection to your computer, and of course audio and video outputs. The lights can be put into a few different modes; there’s a jukebox-like light cycling mode, a steady illumination, the pulse-to-the-music ‘party’ mode, and my favorite, one where it slowly cycles through all of the colors (the speed of the cycling is adjustable). Lastly, you can program it to work with just about any remote control to control all the functions of your iPod. It’s available now from Pressure Drop for $99. (read more at PlayListMag, Gizmodo, or iLounge).

AND THE #1 BEST THING TO SAY IF YOU GET CAUGHT SLEEPING AT YOUR DESK:

Road rage leads to death in Colorado (no Elise content)
December 17th, 2005After thirteen traffic offenses in ten years, Jason Reynolds’ driving style finally caught up to him. The Colorado highway patrol had even sent him a warning letter on September 23 after he was reported by several people for road rage. He was due to appear in court on December 14th to face charges that he rammed the rear of a Honda with his truck three times. Now, he’s facing two counts of first degree murder (possibly carrying the death penalty) for a road rage incident from November. According to witnesses, Reynolds was driving aggressively, and a Toyota SUV pulled right to let Reynolds pass. Reynolds passed, but then pulled in right in front of the Toyota SUV and braked hard, causing the Toyota SUV to hit him. Upon impact, the driver of the Toyota SUV lost control, crossed the median, flipped, and landed on top of a Ford SUV. The drivers of both SUVs died instantly, while the perpetrator of this accident stood by indifferently after the accident, and now faces the death penalty. Really sad all around; what’s even sadder is that this jerk was allowed to be driving in the first place. Read more here.
